This is how the process works at Eigen Bodem

You are considering video marketing for your agency, but you are wondering: how does such a process actually work? What do I need to provide? How long does it take? And what will I ultimately receive?

In this article, I will take you step by step through the process at Eigen Bodem — from the first conversation to the video live on your channels.

Step 1 – Introduction and intake

Everything starts with a conversation. Not a sales pitch, but a substantive introductory meeting in which I get to know you: who are you, what do you do, who do you do it for, and what do you want to project?

During the intake, I ask questions such as:

• Which project or projects would you like to show?

• On which platforms do you want to be active: LinkedIn, Instagram, your website, YouTube?

• Have you used video before, and what did that bring?

• What is the goal you want to achieve with the video?

Based on this intake, I will draw up a concrete proposal: which videos we will make, how we will use them, and what it will cost. Only when you agree will we schedule the first filming day.

Step 2 – Preparation and planning

A good shooting day begins long before the camera is turned on. During the preparation phase, we think together about:

• The location: which rooms, which angles, and which time of day provides the best light?

• Practical matters: Is there space for drone footage? Are there any restrictions around the property?

• Potential people in mind: architects, clients, or employees who wish to contribute to the story.

Step 3 – The recording day(s)

On the day of the shoot, I arrive at the location with professional equipment: camera, lenses, stabilizers, slider, professional audio, lighting equipment, and, if desired, the drone. I work calmly and in a structured manner, ensuring that your client or the users of the space experience as little disruption as possible.

During the shoot, I pay attention to more than just technical quality. I look for the details that make your work unique: the texture of a material, the play of light and shadow, the transition between spaces.

Step 4 – Editing and post-production

After the shooting day, the editing begins. All footage is selected, combined, and edited into a beautiful film. In doing so, I consciously choose an editing style that suits your high-end positioning, with a musical foundation that underscores the atmosphere.

After the first version, you will receive a review link. You watch the video and provide feedback. We incorporate your comments in an editing round so that the final result exactly matches what you have in mind.

Depending on the agreements, in addition to the main video, we also deliver shorter versions: a vertical version for Instagram Reels, and optionally separate atmospheric clips for Stories or your website.

Step 5 – Strategy and distribution

A strong video is just the beginning. The real value only emerges when thought has been given in advance to how, where, and when that video will be used.

Many agencies invest in production but leave distribution to chance. As a result, a good video is often limited to a single publication moment, even though it holds much more potential.

At Eigen Bodem, we therefore view strategy as a separate part of the collaboration. It is not included as standard with having a single video made. A single production revolves around making the film itself. Strategy is about the role that film plays in your long-term visibility.

In a strategic session, for example, we look at questions such as:

• What story do you want to project? And how do you build a recognizable narrative across multiple projects that aligns with your agency's position?

• What is the ultimate goal of the video? What does it contribute to? And does this video reach the right target audience?

• At what point should you publish a project for the greatest reach and relevance?

• Through which channel do you reach the right target audience: LinkedIn, Instagram, your website, or a combination thereof?

• Which accompanying text reinforces the content of the video and invites a response?

• How do you incorporate video on your website so that projects are found more easily on Google?

• Which projects are coming up in the coming months, and which moments are interesting to capture?

The added value of a strategy is that individual videos become part of a larger whole. You no longer work on a project-by-project basis, but build consistent visibility step by step. This creates greater recognition, a clearer profile, and a better alignment with the assignments you want to attract.

That is precisely why, at Eigen Bodem, we enjoy working on long-term collaborations. In a year-long process, we evaluate what works every quarter, refine the approach, and plan new productions in advance. This creates a rhythm in which content is not created ad hoc, but contributes purposefully to the growth of your agency.
